• Description : Since 2002, LEESU organizes within the Water and sustainable development University of Val-de-Marne County, the World Wide Workshop for Young Environmental Scientists (WWW-YES). The thematic guideline of the seminar is ’Urban waters, resource or risks’, inviting the participants to rethink the need for participative and integrated water management in urban areas and the lessons which can be learned from North and South experiences. The five days of the workshop are dedicated both to the presentation, discussion and assessment of individual research and to the building-up of scientific North – South cooperation projects. Admission fees and accommodation are supported by the Val de Marne County, Arcueil municipality and the Communaute d’Agglomeration du Val-de-Bievre (CAVB) for the 20 selected participants who need to find support for their travel costs. All presentations and discussions are made in English.

• Description : Depuis 2002 le LEESU organise dans le cadre de l’Université de l’eau et du du développement durable du Conseil général de Val-de-Marne l’atelier international pour les jeunes chercheurs en environnement (WWW-YES). La thématique de cet atelier est "l’Eau et la ville, ressource ou risques, dans une perspective Nord - Sud". Les participants sont invités à réfléchir sur les besoins de gestion intégrée et citoyenne de l’eau dans les zones urbaines et les enseignements que l’on peut puiser des expériences des pays développés et en développement. Les cinq jours de l’atelier sont dédiés à la présentation, discussion et évaluation des travaux individuels de recherche et à la conception collective de projets de recherche de coopération Nord - Sud. L’inscription et l’hébergement sont gracieusement offerts par le Conseil général du Val-de-Marne, la mairie d’Arcueil et la Communauté d’agglomération du Val-de-Bièvre (CAVB) aux 20 candidats retenus. La langue de présentation et d’échange est exclusivement l’anglais.
